Prompt 8
what is the story you live by as a teacher of color?
— Myra Bellamy
apple
This was given to me 11 years ago from my student teaching supervisor. She told me to wear it on my first teaching job that I got out of undergrad. I keep things that are very sentimental to me. This started my journey as a teacher of color. Wearing that pin, when I started teaching, just helped me know that I was not alone, even though my student teaching supervisor/mentor wasn't physically with me.
